AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 11, 2005--SigmaTel, Inc. (NASDAQ:SGTL), the worldwide market leader for audio controller chips within portable digital audio players, and A-MAX Technology, Ltd. ("A-MAX"), the leading IDS (Innovative Design Services) supplier of mobile music solutions to the portable consumer electronics industry, announce a strategic partnership for developing and manufacturing portable digital audio devices.

As one of the leading companies specializing in design, development, manufacturing and distribution of high quality portable digital multimedia products, A-MAX Technology has consistently been a leading customer for SigmaTel's digital audio SoC chip solutions, used within their MP3 player product line.
